We’re excited to announce that Tony Scott, former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at VMware and Board of Advisor at Continuum, has been appointed the new U.S. Chief Information Officer (CIO) by President Barack Obama.
Given his 35+ years of global renowned IT leadership and management experience as the CIO of such major companies as VMware, Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company and General Motors Corporation, Tony is the perfect choice to receive this prestigious honor.
“We were extremely fortunate to have the unprecedented experience and leadership calibre of Tony Scott to advise Continuum over the last several months. We thank Tony for his contributions to advance our managed IT services business, thank him for his dedication and service to our country as the new CIO and wish him well with this latest honor and challenge.” ~Michael George, CEO at Continuum~
In his new role, Tony is now chartered with building on the work done by the Nation’s first CIOs, Vivek Kundra and Steve VanRoekel, in changing the way the Federal Government manages IT, including driving value in Federal IT investments, delivering world-class digital services and protecting Federal IT assets and information.
If the expertise he's provided Continuum’s Board of Advisors since joining in July 2014 is any indication, the Federal Government can do no better than Tony Scott.
Please join us in congratulating him!
