Continuum and the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) have a history of working together to support veterans causes. Recently, that relationship continued when Continuum dropped off more than 200 pairs of boots to the NECHV who was running a holiday boot drive. Continuum and building neighbor, Rapid7 decided to hold a friendly competition to see which company could collect and donate the most boots prior to the kickoff of the drive. In the end, both companies came out winners as a grand total of 210 pairs of boots were donated to veterans in need.
At the end of the pre-drive competition, Continuum and Rapid7 had collected a combined total of 198 pairs of boots. Both Continuum CEO, Michael George and Rapid7 CEO, Corey Thomas got together with their teams to celebrate the accomplishment.
Following the pre-drive completion, Continuum decided to send two teams of employees down to the NECHV for a tour of the center and to help out wherever it may be needed. The first team of employees dedicated their time to helping out with maintenance projects including sweeping, mopping and wiping down windows. The second team of Continuum employees were responsible for helping out with the lunch shift. Some of the volunteers spent their time serving the meals, while others helped out with washing the dishes!
Once the drive reached its conclusion, Continuum packed up the vehicles with boots and headed over to the NECHV. The boots were dropped off and will be included in gift packages that veterans will receive for the holidays. Currently, the New England Center and Home for Veterans supports more than 350 veterans each night.
Continuum is proud of the work that it does through its Continuum Veterans Foundation (CVF) to support the needs of our veterans and looks forward to continued donations and volunteer efforts as we head into 2016!
