Posted May 10, 2016by Courtney Margossian

Last month, Women in Technology International (WITI) Boston hosted an event at Continuum's new Boston headquarters at 99 High Street. The event brought together woman and men in the Technology industry to discuss the growing power of technology, including Big Data, analytics, and the Internet of Things. The WITI network strives to provide content-rich programs along with a comfortable networking environment. This event was meant to empower attendees by gaining insight on a variety of topics. The event was called, "The Only One in Heels: Female Leadership in STEM."

Heather Lavoie, Chief Strategy Officer for Geneia, was the featured speaker at the WITI Event. Heather talked about her own journey into the technology field and major influencers along the way. She also gave a look into the work that Geneia is doing in the healthcare field.

During the presentation, Heather gave some deep insight on her company's efforts to keep up with changing demographics, technology, and delivery methods behind presenting technology. Similiar to the Managed Service Industry, Heather stated that healthcare is working to leverage the growing power of technology.

Continuum couldn't have been more excited to host this event. It was a great opportunity to bring woman in technology together to further create
connections, share resources and discover opportunities in the technology industry.
