Each week, Continuum spotlights an employee who has gone above and beyond. The spotlight is more than just recognition of the hard work being done at Continuum, but a look into the person behind that work. We find out what our employees do for fun, what their favorite movies are, what their passions are and much more. We also ask them about their experiences working at Continuum and what they like most about their job. Check back each week to find out who made the Employee Spotlight.

This week Alie Perkus is being featured!

Alie joined the Continuum team in April as an Event Marketing Associate. She is responsible for the planning and execution of the events that Continuum is a part of, including technical tradeshows and industry events. Alie has become an integral part of the Marketing team and helps to expand Continuum's international presence.

Let's get to know Alie a little better...

How did you hear about Continuum in the first place? "I heard about Continuum from my friend, Alicia Lazzaro. She got me an interview for the events team and I got it!"

What is your favorite thing about working for Continuum? "My favorite thing about working at Continuum are my co-workers. Everyone here is so hard working and friendly. Different departments help out each other and we work as a team."

What is your best memory as a Continuum employee? "#nav16! It was so amazing to see everything that I have been working on come to life."

What is one skill that you have acquired since starting at Continuum? "Multitasking. I am constantly working on multiple events at once, and I need to prioritize what needs to get done and when."


Do you have any fun/funny stories that involve any of your co-workers? "We ordered a bunch of branded stress balls for various events. I just had to jump inside the box. Branon from the Content Team took the picture!"

What do you look for in a good company? "One thing I look for is happy employees. If someone doesn’t love coming in to work every day, to me that means they don’t work for a good company."

Would you recommend applying to Continuum to a friend? "Yes, I would! It is a great company to work for with lots of room for growth. Also, Pizza Thursdays…"

What is an interesting fact about yourself "I use to play the cello!"

What is your favorite movie? "Pitch Perfect! What an aca-amazing movie."

What do you like to do for fun? "I like going to the farmers market when it’s nice out. I also like hanging out with my friends."

What is your hidden talent "I make a killer grilled cheese."

Do you have any pets? What are their names? "I have 3 cats named Simon, Giles and Drizzle. They are my best friends (after MA office manager Anne)."

What is your favorite animal? "I love all animals, especially furry ones that I can pet."

What kind of music do you like to listen to? "I listen to all types of music. I think pop music and A Capella are my favorites."

Do you play any instruments? "Not currently."

Do you follow/play any sports? If so, which teams/sports?"I occasionally do yoga with my cats."

If you could travel anywhere on earth for vacation, where would you go? "Australia. I went there a few summers ago and it was the most beautiful place I’ve even been to."

What is your go-to karaoke song? "Wanna Be by The Spice Girls and I’m not going to apologize for it."

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why? "I would clone myself. That way, I could be sleeping in bed while also at a party."
