Employee Spotlight: Jill Ammon

Posted January 15, 2016by Ben Barker

Each week, Continuum will spotlight an employee that has gone above and beyond. The spotlight is more than just a recognition of the hard work being done at Continuum, but a look into the person behind that work. We'll find out what our employees do for fun, what their favorite movies are, what their passions are and much more! We also ask them about their experiences working at Continuum and what they like most about their job. Check back each week to find out who made the Employee Spotlight!

This week, Jill Ammon is being featured!

Jill was nominated for the Employee Spotlight after receiving a promotion to lead the Account Executive team!

Let's get to know Jill a little better...

Jill at Continuum

How long have you been working for Continuum?: "I’m coming up to my 3 year anniversary."

How did you hear about Continuum?: "I actually applied for a Help Desk position a few months prior to starting. I was referred to the Account Executive position by Jessica Borrelli."

What is your favorite thing about working for Continuum?: "Everything!  There’s honestly too much to list. I love the culture, I love our guiding principles because they are in line with how I try to live my life, and I love that we aren’t micro-managed. When you have an idea, you are afforded the opportunity to help make changes here within the organization. We have access to the E-Team and your voice is heard and you’re respected as an individual within Continuum. It’s an amazing attribute, because you don’t find that in most places."

What is your best memory as a Continuum employee?: "I was going to say representing Continuum at a conference in Sydney Australia and the chance to cross off a bucket list item, but then SKO 2016 happened. I was awarded the Top Account Executive for the 2nd year in a row, but then was completely shocked when Michael George awarded me with the CEO Circle of Excellence award, and the fact that there’s only one winner in the organization per year! I now have my very own stuffed wallaby which is looking over us here in the office! Name is TBD, although I’m leaning towards naming him Moe after Moe Elbaz. You can ask him why!"

Do you have any fun/funny stories involving your co-workers?: "Corey Nulton and I worked together over a decade ago, and Jessica Borrelli, Courtney Drahos and myself all worked at FedEx in our past lives."

What do you look for in a good company?: "I look for stability, innovation, and goals. If a company is growing and has a great leadership team in place, get in when you can and help make a difference."

More about Jill

What is an interesting fact about yourself?: "I was on B-94 for almost 4 years as their movie critic, 'Jill Doin’ The Movies,' and even had my own theme song."

What do you like to do for fun?: "I love traveling. Cruising is my favorite thing in the world. I love to go to concerts. There’s nothing better than live music. I also love reading and doing things with my dog."

What is your hidden talent?: "I’m pretty good at doing home remodeling jobs, from carpentry to drywall and everything in between."

Do you have any pets?: "I have a 3 year old certified therapy dog, Jaxson Cooper (he’s visited the office before!) and 2 kittens – Pickles, aka the Honey Badger, and Piper."

What kind of music do you like to listen to?: "Top 40 & Alternative mainly. My favorite bands are U2, Coldplay,

B-52’s and OneRepublic."

Do you play any instruments?: "I used to play the trumpet and piano."

If you could travel anywhere on earth for vacation, where would you go?: "I would go to Bora Bora because you can live on the beautiful water!"

What is your favorite song to sing at karaoke?: "Love Shack by the B-52’s. I can actually do both the male & female parts in character."

If you could have any super power, what would it be?: "The ability to hover over a new town or city and see a birds eye view of the whole thing."
