Employee Spotlight: Sheetal Singh

Each week, Continuum spotlights an employee who has gone above and beyond. The spotlight is more than just recognition of the hard work being done at Continuum, but a look into the person behind that work. We find out what our employees do for fun, what their favorite movies are, what their passions are and much more. This week, Sheetal Singh is being featured!

Sheetal Singh is a Senior Software Engineer working in our Mumbai office. She has been with the company for almost a year!

Let's get to know Sheetal a little better...

How did you hear about Continuum in the first place? "Through a job portal."

What is your faovrite thing about working for Continuum? "I am building an application for Help Desk team. I love to take challenging work for making the current IHD application to such a level which helps in the company growth."

What is your best memory as a Continuum employee? "It’s only been a short time here, but I have lots of good memories – Some of the best memories are getting Spot awards and appreciation for creating a POC on elasticsearch."

What is one skill that you have acquired since starting at Continuum? "The ability to learn and implement new technology within a mentioned time frame."

Do you have any fun/funny stories that involve any of your co-workers? "At one of the Continuum Karaoke evenings, one of our teammates sang in a way which I can never forget! Whenever we discuss the day within the team we can't stop laughing!"

What do you look for in a good company? "A Company that supports flexible work environments for employees. This means allowing employees to work anytime and anywhere. Employees should have a job security. Company must create an environment where employees don’t need to work there, they WANT to work."

Would you recommend applying at Continuum to a friend? "Yes, definitely as Continuum is a company that we can say is a great place to work."

What is an interesting fact about yourself? "Per other people, I always have a smile on my face and most of the time, people around me get confused whether I am happy or sad in various situations."

What is your favorite movie? "I love watching movies! Hence, I don’t have one specific favorite movie in fact I have many. One of my favorite Bollywood movie is 3 Idiots."

What is your favorite TV show? "I like watching any reality based shows related to singing and dancing."

What do you like to do for fun? "For fun I like playing indoor games like table tennis, watching movies and spending time with my loved ones."

What is your hidden talent? "I can sing well."

Do you have any pets? What are their names? "Yes I have a cute cat at home. His name is Grad. Also, I have a small aquarium."

What is your favorite animal? "Cats as they look very cute."

What kind of music do you listen to? "It depends upon my mood generally classical and romantic songs."

Do you play any instruments? "Not currently."

Do you follow/play any sports? If so, which teams/sports? "Currently I play Table Tennis whenever I get time."

If you could travel anywhere on earth to vacation, where would you go? "I would go to any cold and peaceful place."

What is your go-to karaoke song? "Hindi song 'Tinka-Tinka Zara Zara.'"

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why? "A power to convert all destructive thought driven people into peace loving humans who enhance each other’s progress."
