Summer is arguably the best season there is. Sure, the hot weather and humidity isn’t the best, but who doesn’t love a trip to the beach, roasting s’mores over the fire or squeezing every ounce of sunshine out of the longer days we have?
At Continuum, summer also means one more thing – summer outings! Each office gathers outside of work hours to celebrate our successes, have fun and just enjoy being together, #morethanwork style.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be giving you an inside look at the summer outings from our Houston, Boston and Pennsylvania offices. Each outing is unique in that it is representative of the culture of that office. We are all one at Continuum, but each office has it’s own special identity, reflective of the people and the work being done.
One thing remains no matter which office you are in: we know how to have fun.
The Houston office was first to celebrate! On Friday, July 15, the team called it an early day and traveled to Downtown Houston for an afternoon of games and beer at Joystix Classic Games and Pinballs.
With 250 different games to choose from, there was no shortage of machines for the team and their guests. I’m not sure who was more excited about all the classic pinball machines and arcade games: the engineers or the children in attendance.
In addition to all of the games, there was a great Mexican food spread including fajitas, rice, veggies and chips and salsa. To top it all off, the day ended with a selection of cookies fresh from the oven. Can’t beat that!
The Houston team was able to celebrate with some members of the Boston and Mumbai offices, as well as some team members from Bolivia! See some pictures from the event below:
