Jeanne at Continuum and Beyond
What was your first job? "Besides babysitting (the de facto standard job for any well-respected teenager), I worked on the shade tobacco farms in the Connecticut River Valley. I was 14 years old, rode my bike four miles to catch the bus at dawn, worked the entire summer and made $600!"
What was your first car? "A navy blue Volvo station wagon, which belonged to my grandparents. My parents thought it the safest possible vehicle I could be in."
What was your major in college, where and why did you select it? "My initial interest was in journalism because my Dad was the editor of the daily newspaper where I grew up. He did not believe it was the best possible career choice for me so I looked for something that I could do always. My always turned out to be Accounting. So, I have a BBA in Accounting from Western New England University. Later, I went for my MBA in International Marketing from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Management. I am very happy with my education."
What does Continuum look like in five years? "Continuum will continue its upward trajectory and enjoy the fruits of being a leader in IT Software with the full enablement of a world-class NOC and Help Desk. Very exciting times."
What is your favorite sports team? "I did not grow up in a sports-oriented home so favorite sports teams are a bit of a mystery me. I do like the esoteric, so I would go with the U.S. Olympic Women’s Curling Team. I love the concept of 'Broomgate.'"
What do you collect? "Well, my husband would say shoes. And that is not intentional. I’m always on the lookout for shoes that are super comfortable and attractive. For the most part, those two attributes are mutually exclusive. Especially for size 11 feet."
