In the last four months, in order to provide partners next generation products and innovation, we've added three new faces to our excellent leadership team: John Mandel as Senior Vice President of Engineering, Brian Herr as Vice President of Products and Swami Nathan as Vice President of Engineering. We're proud to benefit and learn from their previous experiences leading successful organizations and invite you to learn more about their respective roles here at Continuum!
John Mandel has been named our Senior Vice President of Engineering, assuming leadership for our company’s 180-person worldwide engineering team. He has over 25 years of engineering experience with a noteworthy record of building teams that consistently deliver high quality enterprise and SaaS solutions. In addition to driving all aspects of product development, John is known for ensuring customer success by meeting their product requirements and driving services delivery.

Prior to joining our executive team at Continuum, John earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Massachusetts in Lowell. His professional career has consisted of leading several engineering teams as well as mature and entrepreneurial companies, and holding various engineering roles for Unica Corporation, Wildfire Communications and Epoch Systems, among others. In 1998, he co-founded MarketSoft and spent more than seven years as Vice President, Engineering and CTO. More recently, John has held many Vice President positions at Kofax, Plectix BioSystems, and ACI Worldwide, where he was responsible for four products that contributed nearly 50 percent of ACI’s $1 billion in revenue.
Brian Herr is our new Vice President of Products, replacing Dee Zepf, who has been named Vice President of Partner Success. In this new role, Brian is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of Continuum’s managed IT services platform.

Brian has a master’s degree in chemistry from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. During his nearly 20-year career, he has delivered more than 100 product releases across more than 20 product lines. His professional career has included serving iManage, Ariba (now part of SAP) and Documentum (now part of EMC), among others in senior product management roles. He was CEO and VP, Business Development at Clinton Foundation-Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and was Senior Director, Product Management at Kronos for five years where he led a team of seven product managers and directors driving a $200 million portfolio of products. Most recently, Brian was Senior Director, Business Line Management at UpToDate, a premier evidence-based clinical decision support resource, leading a team of six product managers, UX designer and UI developer managing a $250 million SaaS product line.
Brian has also been on the Board of Advisors at CYCLE Kids, addressing the issue of inactivity and poor nutrition habits of students, as well as families and school staff, since 2012. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors for Jericho Road Project, a group of volunteer experts who have helped non-profits deliver stronger services including strategic planning, marketing, IT, Web design and more, to communities in Massachusetts and across the country.
Swami Nathan has been named the new Vice President of Engineering, located in our Mumbai office. In this role, he is leading the engineering staff in Mumbai responsible for Continuum’s intelligent Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform, and he comes to Continuum with more than 17 years of senior management experience.

Swami holds a master’s degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Science and a master’s degree in physics from Bharathidasan University. He began his professional career by founding Vi Labs in 1998 and served as the company’s CEO for seven years. Swami has also served IMC Global Services, Information Management Consultants and Symphony Services in a variety of roles over the course of a decade, and most recently served as Vice President at V2Solutions, delivering technology and media solutions that enable enterprises to evolve and innovate.
