Under the guidance of Technical Sales Engineer, Matt Mainhart, Continuum's Pennsylvania office has launched its Recycling Initiative. As a part of the initiative, Recycling Zones were set up throughout the office, including two zones that are for batteries only. In the past, there was only one recycling bin in the expanded office space. The additional resources make it more convenient for employees to contribute.
Thanks to Matt's leadership and support from Maria Wroblewski, the Office Manager of Continuum's Pennsylvania office, there are now six locations throughout the office with receptacles that can be used to recycle. There are also signs posted in those areas to remind employees which items can be tossed into the bins.
According to Matt, pushing a Recycling Initiative was a no-brainer.
"We have had many improvements to the office here in Cranberry – the amazing new break room, the additional space, and the vast growth of employment opportunities. I saw the recycling initiative as an extension of these fantastic improvements that we are, and continue to, make here in Pittsburgh. I saw a need for recycling, and acted. We needed to make the recycling here convenient. So, that’s why we chose to have multiple Recycling Zones. These are mere seconds, or a free throw, from the cubicles; hence making recycling more convenient."
