They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but the 600+ attendees of our sold-out MSP user conference have taken the technical, financial, sales, marketing, and industry lessons they learned over the course of three days home with them. All of us at Team Continuum can't believe the event is over, but in case you need to relive the Navigate 2015 experience or join in for the first time, here are highlights from last week's partner conference in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada!
Do you remember how in the last scene of The Hangover, the main characters crowd around a digital camera and look horrified as they flip through incriminating photos? Don't worry, this won't be anything like that.
As one of the representatives at the Grow Your Business Genius Bar, I can't tell you how rewarding it was to have such a successful debut! We know our partners often need help marketing and selling their services, and as full-time marketers ourselves, we're here to make sure you have the content and strategies needed to do so. After three days of back-to-back consultations, I'm happy to report that we helped over 140 partners, reviewing websites and social profiles as well as generating data sheets and custom-branded videos!
Weren't able to stop by? No problem! Just email GrowYourBusiness@continuum.net to learn more about our ongoing partner enablement program!
Our thirty-seven sessions generated a lot of buzz between partners, but one of the most eagerly anticipated breakout tracks was Getting Your MSP's Name Out There: Let's Talk Public Relations 101, presented by President and co-founder of BroadPR Tracy Wemett. With twenty years of experience being at the forefront of the high tech industry, Tracy is a PR maven and our company's incomparable press point-person. One-by-one MSPs piled in to hear her speak, but little did one partner know, Lady Luck was on his side when she tossed out gambling chips to the packed room. The next night, Randall Garner (pictured below) of Garner IT Consulting raised the stakes and placed one of these chips on the Don’t Pass Line at the casino craps table as a final, homerun-swing type of bet. The result? It turns out he was right to place his faith in the power of PR because that $5 chip became $200 in game winnings, added to the other $200 he had already scored. Luck be a lady is right. Congrats, Randall!
Leave it to CEO Michael George to make a grand entrance! After breakfast on Day 2, America's Got Talent's own illusionist, Seth Grabel wowed the crowd not by pulling a rabbit out of a hat or making a quarter disappear, but by waving his hands and making Michael appear just in time for his keynote. Click here for a full recap of his keynote about the value of exploration!
Although Michael's keynote, especially his entrance, was a tough act to follow, Founder & Author of TechnologyMarketingToolkit.com Robin Robins and Founder of Gazelles, Inc. Verne Harnish more than rose to the occasion! Robin woke everybody up Tuesday morning with her powerful keynote about industry-leading strategies on MSP sales and marketing, even spotlighting a few of our partners who've successfully grown their businesses as a result of her program. Then Verne, the "Growth Guy" delivered Navigate's illuminating closing keynote, inspired by his book, Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits 2.0); Mastering the Rockefeller Habits - a copy of which all partners received for free! As someone who had the pleasure of listening to his presentation, the standing ovation Verne received was well-deserved. It's clear why Michael calls him his teacher - having been a pupil in Verne's CEO program, the "Birthing of Giants" at MIT - and his friend.
Titanium sponsor, Webroot, knows how to throw a party! LIGHT Night Club proved to be the perfect venue for high-flying astronaut acrobats, glowing green and orange lights, and of course, a full dance floor of partners!
We'd be remiss if we didn't showcase all of the incredible sponsors and exhibitors who participated in our Tech Showcase and Partner Pavilion. Shout-out to Aisle8, Malwarebytes, and IBM pictured below!
And make sure you check out our sponsors' helpful blog posts!
If there's one cause that's near and dear to our hearts, it's the Continuum Veteran's Foundation (CVF), established to empower those who have served with distinction through financial support to veteran employment organizations, like Hire Heroes USA. As the primary donor to CVF, Continuum provides preferential consideration in hiring veterans at the company, and a portion of our Help Desk revenue is directed to select nonprofit veteran organizations. After playing a special video honoring U.S. military veterans, Michael asked the forty-six veterans in the audience to stand and be recognized. Then, everyone stood as Senior Marketing Programs Manager & host of our Navigate countdown series, Shannon Mayer, performed a goosebumps-inducing rendition of the National Anthem. Finally, the Mayor of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, Carolyn Goodman, proclaimed September 29, 2015 as Continuum Veterans Foundation Day and presented Michael with the official decree. Don't worry, we'll be back to celebrate! ;)
There would be no Navigate without our incredible partners and indeed, our success is truly your success. We just can't emphasize that enough! We were honored to recognize the following recipients of the Continuum Partner Awards for 2015:
Thank you again to all of our partners, sponsors, attendees, and Garnish Event Management for making Navigate 2015 an unforgettable event! See you back in Boston for Navigate 2016!
